S.C. IASITEX S.A. is the most important private company in the Romanian textile industry. Cotton processing is a fully integrated process, from raw material to yarns, fabrics and textile confections, an all-in-one unit operated by 1000 employees.
It was established in 1910, under the name of ”Ţesătura”, and it worked as a private company until 1948 when it was nationalized by the communist regime. The factory continued its activity until 1990, being officially called ”Întreprinderea de Stat Ţesătura Iaşi” (“The Ţesătura Iaşi State Enteprise”). In 1990 the company became a joint company in accordance to Romanian Law, named S.C. IASITEX S.A.
In 2003 the State launched a privatization offer and the opportunity was taken by the SCR Group, the most powerful Romanian industrial group, who's President is Mr. Ştefan VUZA, that bought the majority stock from former A.V.A.S. Bucharest.
Our experience in the textile industry guarantees the clients for seriousness and competence, as our products registered numerous successes during time, in Romania and in more than 20 other countries in Europe, Asia and North and Central America. Besides, the exported goods were constantly over 80% of the total products made in our company. The continuous investments we made in the quality of the professionals working in S.C.
